Zombie The Cranberries e Cranberries describe the violence in “The Troubles,” the decades-long conflict between Ireland and the UK. Dolores O'Riordan wrote the song during the band’s English tour in 1993 in memory of two young boys Tim Parry and Jonathan Ball, who were killed in an IRA bombing in Warrington, England.

The cranberries. While on tour in 1993, The Cranberries penned "Zombie" in memory of Jonathan Ball and Tim Parry, who were killed in an IRA bombing in Warrington. It became known as their 'protest song,' and many music critics didn't agree with the band's choice to get political in their lyrics.
